Glycerol suppositories children
Indicated for the short-term treatment of occasional constipation. Glycerol is a compound widely used in pharmacy for its lubricating, osmotic, soothing and moisturising properties. It stimulates the peristalsis both through the irritating action directly exerted upon the intestinal mucosal cells, and as a result of the dehydration caused on the mucosa itself. It can stimulate rectal contractions.
For rectal use. The correct dose is the minimum dose sufficient to induce easy evacuation. Children between 2 and 11 years of age: 1 suppository children as needed, up to 1 or 2 administrations daily.
