Sodium bicarbonate (Official pharmacopoeia)
Sodium bicarbonate, due to its ability to eliminate acids, is often administered in case of heartburn, gastritis, peptic ulcer and whenever it is necessary to alkalise urine or other body fluids.
USAGE
As an anti-acid: half teaspoon dissolved in half a glass of water. For gargles and nasal washes: dissolve one teaspoon in water. For foot baths: two tablespoons dissolved in one litre of water.
